The Best Advice I Ever Received

Everything happens for a reason. At the time something is going on, that may be hard to hear and even harder to understand. But, in the long run, eventually, maybe years down the road, you’ll see why it happened the way it did. How many times have you reflected on something from your past and realized that if this didn’t happen then that wouldn’t have happened either?

Worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do but it doesn’t really get you anywhere. If you can’t change it, then accept it and move on. Spend your energy and time on things that you can change.

Always be true to yourself. Know who you are and what you believe. Stand up for yourself, don’t be afraid to be different from the crowd.

Be thankful for what you have instead of wishing for what you don’t. If you spend all of your time focused on other things (especially material things), you’ll take for granted the wonderful things you’ve been given and one day it will be gone.
